NEW YEAR'S VACATION
DEC 30, 2003-JAN 4,2004
IN HONOR OF CHRISTMAS, LAURA'S BIRTHDAY,
AND OUR ANNIVERSARY
I finally got to ride an elephant in Bangkok! I was excited.
We went to Erowan National Park. Beautiful waterfalls and a nice hike. Interesting experience getting there, but really nice nonetheless.
The Bridge over the River Kwai. Yup. It's a bridge, all right.
The old capital of Ayutthaya.

The palace of the King.
The Summer Palace of the King.
This was the house of Jim Thompson... Singlehandedly responsible for the Thai silk trade.
The largest reclining Buddha. It was big.
We got to see a cultural show.
Orchids were everywhere. On our bed in the hotel room, on the airplane, and all over the city.
We got to meet up with Rosie while we were there. She happened to be in Thailand at the same time!
