Today is a very big day for me.  Ten years ago today I entered the Missionary Training Center (MTC) to begin my two year
mission for
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Sweden Stockholm Mission.  It's hard to believe that it's
been so long already!  Of course, I've done a lot in the decade (decade!) since then, but it's still hard to believe.  I will forever be
grateful for the opportunity that I had to serve a mission.  It continues to affect my life in so many ways, and defines who I am.
Among the more important things, my testimony of the
atonement of Jesus Christ and the restoration of His gospel through the
prophet Joseph Smith were solidified, a testimony I still carry with me every day.  More temporally, I developed a great love for the
country of Sweden, it's culture, people and language, that still permeates my home and I look forward to being able to move back
next summer.  Finally, two of the sister missionaries that were in my MTC group would later have a roommate named Laura, and we
all know how that story ends.

The middle picture is me and my two MTC companions, Äldste Briggs and Äldste O'Connor while we were in the MTC, I think fairly
shortly after arriving.  Please note how young and light I look!  :)  The bottom pic is the singles at FHE tonight helping me celebrate
my 10th anniversary.  Fun times.
