Today is the one year anniversary of my photo-a-day. It is also six years to the day since I asked Laura to marry me. It's also
mole day, but that's just coincidental. As such, I wanted to take some highly significant picture. Problem was that I went to an art
exhibit opening this evening. The artist, Janos Enyedi (below), uses photography quite often in his work, so I was a bit nervous
being the photographer of the event. By the time I got home, I was rather pooped, and didn't even want to take a picture of the
chocolate cookies that Laura made while I was away to celebrate (the anniversary, that is, not the fact that I was away!). So, a
portrait of the artist is what you get.
It's hard to believe how long Laura's been the central person in my life. I'm really happy that she said yes though, and if I had to go
back and do it again I would. On the other hand, knowing now what she knows about me (not that I have any deep dark secrets,
but you get to know a person real well when you're married to them) she'd probably turn me down. So, good thing we can't go back
right?
It's also hard to believe I've done the photo-a-day for this long. I thought I'd poop out after a month or so. I enjoy doing it, though, I
enjoy a little bit of creativity every day, and I enjoy developing this talent. I've seen improvement over the last year, even if you look
at some of my pictures and think, "I bet Audrey took that one." So for now, at least, I think I'll continue.
