The top pic was taken at 12:02 a.m., so technically a photo on January 1st. It was slightly better than the actual photo-a-day below,
which is why it gets top billing. In Sweden, EVERYONE lights off fireworks on New Year's Eve. And I'm not just talking about
sparklers. They get the big bottle rockets, etc. Our neighbors were lighting some off really close to our house. The yard the next
morning had empty 'shells' all over the place. We did go to our friends' house for a little get together. However, at about 10:15 we
looked at the entryway, and Chester and Audrey were both standing there with their shoes on telling us that they wanted to go
home. Our hosts graciously lit of a couple of mild fireworks so our kids could see them. I mean, be scared of them.
