Today was quite the day - it was the day of my neighborhood's annual "Kräftskiva" - or Crayfish party.  It was a lot of fun!  We got
together for a bit in the afternoon, and played some games - relay races and the like - and then assembled later for dinner.  Every
person was to bring their own crayfish.  I thought that perhaps I could get a small box with about four or so for Laura and me, but
they only sold them in kilo boxes - about 25-30 crayfish.  We surprised ourselves by eating the lot - even Chester tried some (he
told me they were delicious, but then refrained from eating another!).  The fun parts were the bibs and party hats that everyone
wore, and the interruptions during the meal to sing songs and take shots (we refrained from the latter of course).  To eat the
crayfish, there was also a tradition.  First, you had to put the crayfish's belly (in between the sets of little legs) up to your mouth to
"suck out the juices."  Then you pulled off and cleaned the tail meat, which was not much, about the size of half my pinky.  Finally,
you tried to get some meat out of the claws, but that was a lot of work for not much reward.  At any rate, we had a lot of fun, were
introduced to a new Swedish tradition (surprisingly, I never had one while I was on my mission) and got to know our neighbors a lot
better.  A lovely day all around.
