New Year's Resolution Number 1 - Swim once a week as part of my exercise routine.
Last year I made a goal to lose weight, and I did fairly well, setting up an exercise routine and diet for myself. By July I had lost
almost 25 pounds. Then I went to the States for a few weeks and moved and kind of fell out of my diet. Well, the subsequent weight
gain has motivated me to get back on! At the same time, I love swimming, but it's one exercise that's impossible to do at home. So I
talked to Laura and we agreed to try once a week. We'll have to see how it goes. If you're curious about my diet (and why wouldn't
you be?), it's very simple: 1) You can eat one sweet thing a day. This is totally arbitrary depending on the day. It could be a
Snicker bar, or a piece of pie, or maybe a Werther's, just as long as it's one. 2) No drinking calories. In other words, no juice or
soda. If you do drink a glass of juice or soda hat's your sweet thing for the day. 3) Exercise four times a week. 4) Plan your snacks
and plan healthy ones. Other than that, eat like you normally do, and try not to pig out.
About the pic - I wish that the water on my face showed up better, but oh well. That's why the closeup in the main pic, because you
can see the water the best. Also I wasn't sure what crop I liked (it's two different pics) so I put three of them on. When I showed
them to Laura, she said "I like that you take risks in your photography," which is a back handed complement if ever I heard one. Life
is funny.
